OpenID commenting works again! (all other forms are disabled, because of spammers..)

Someone complained to me about my RSS feed being broken.. for some reason his reader doesn't allow <author> fields with email-addresses between &lt; and &gt;. I've changed it to emailaddress (Name), but I feel like this is a bug in his RSS parser (I escaped the <s and >s for a reason).

Or did I just land in double-escape hell and should I use crazy stuff like &amp;amp;lt;, even though Feed Validator thinks my feed is valid?

Update: It seems that Planet Ubuntu is un-escaping, but then does not re-escape when it writes its own feed. Also, it doesn't seem to pick up the change I made to my <author> fields.

After lots of thinking about setting up a weblog, giving up, trying to write my own, losing interest, and trying again. I finally gave up and installed PyBlosxom, and now I'm fully 21st-century compliant again! Yay!
